​The Affordable Care Act (ACA), a health care reform law signed into law by President Barack Obama in 2010. The ACA was intended to increase access to affordable care affordable healthcare for Americans, particularly those previously uninsured or underinsured.

  • People with end-stage renal disease or certain chronic medical conditions: Medicare may also provide coverage for people with specific diseases. ​
